Oregon Mackinaw

A few pics of macks from Oregon so far this year. Most fish were from Odell, one was from Crescent. Often we will split the day and fish for macks and kokanee. I figure my odds of success double if I can target 2 species instead of one.

Odell really has good fishes , there are more chances for best pick up and about crescent I never had such a luck. The fish in the picture seems quite heavy as you are not able to handle it properly.

Killing some time bad storm and cold and found this old article really nice fish I tryed targeting Mac last year a little at odell. had a friend paint me up some special glow in the dark k-15 flat fish in deep blue/ chartruse anyway landed 2 both around 11 pounds it was fun trying something new. I understand F&W trapped and released a mac over 50 # at odell will try again found some new lures Yo Zuri Crystal Minnow Magnums just picked up five the other day to try got any ideas whats working might even troll a Herring

Nice looking fish. What are the size of the Kokanee at Crescent? Just wondering what to expect for next year. Nice report Joe.
