Well...caught my first kokanee on a hoochie today!! We went up to concentrate on jigging but while going between spots for a few minutes we decided to troll. The R&K pink/silver did the trick (Thanks HOOCHIEGUY!)behind a uv dodger with a 10' setback above ball trolls with a .58 black box setting.
The majority of the day was spent jigging and most of our fish were caught on my homemade jigs...caught our limits and lost around 10 on the way up in around 3 hours while targeting fish on the bottom and suspended at the thermocline level. We used corn but found kokanee special gel scent was enough to keep them interested. Fish ranged in size from 11" to 13" but are larger than the last few years at this time.
