Went to Paulina this morning. There was an inch of new snow on the ground and it was 28 degrees. Yikes! Should have brought some snowmobile clothing.
Anyway, we caught our limit jigging. There were a lot of boats up there. The fish were small at 10"-13". Most were 12". This was my first time jigging and it was kind of fun. I do need a jigging rod though. The one I used was way too stiff. I had lots of bites that didn't get netted.
Oh, water temp was 43 degrees and most fish were caught right off the bottom in around 50' of water. Some schools were at 30'-40' and when I saw them on the depth finder I moved the jig up to that depth and usually at least got a bite.
It was fun but COLD.
