Porcupine Report 6-7-08

Hooked up with Kokehead and DKSRenegade and fished Porcupine. Started out trolling from the back of the res. kokehead struck first and nailed a 9" koke i thought oh good we are going to get alot of little ones today. a few minutes later i was able to get one on well that ended up being the only 2 fish of the day. we where constantly changing lures, speed and depth to find active fish but where not very sucessful and got off the lake about 3pm.

didnt help, it rained on us today pretty hard for an hour,

How was the water level, Did you launch in the back of the lake.

Full Pool, yes we launched at the back where everyone camps.

Sounds good, Hope the fish grow a little more during the summer.

I think we need to thin the herd so tey will have more food to grow larger

Well the day just started out bad for me. Got up this morn and discovered that me back window was broken out. Punk kids my guess. But all in all is was an enjoyable day fishing with Petty and my dad. But everyone needs to wish Petty a happy b-day...

same results 5-30-08

i fished up there a week or go and had the same results, i ran 4 rods on downriggers, changed depth, lures, colors, speed tried everything but only caught one. I did see a ton of them surfacing almost like boils in the late evening, also had some jumping out of the water along side the boat while we were trolling but they didn't want to jump in the boat.
