If I would have had to guess I would have said downrigger wiring or plug in for battery charger. Makes sense. I had to ask. There's a lot of different and good ideas out there, which I have no shame in using.

Yesterday I took the boat on driveway to start the kicker motor for verifying the tachometer rpm. The throttle switch was working good, it read the engine rpm, enable the throttle set rpm, drop back to iddle when selected. Then when I test the hydraulic steering and it failed. On auto mode the pump run but there wasn't pressure to the cylinder to steer the motor...
This morning I called Garmin tech support, he guided me thru the trouble shooting the unit then we found the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) failed to supply 12VDC to bypass pump. Everytime when auto or stand by switch press then the bypass pump will run 3 second to bleed off the pressure. He gave me the RMA and they will send the ECU at no charge for replacement, I'll receive it next Thurs. and return the bad unit to them. Garmin has very good technical support and services. That's brand new unit and my boat has not in the water yet. Hopefully the new ECU will be last for a long time.

Rick! Where do you fish for Kokanee around Mackay? I have not been there. Long time ago I said some day I will drive on the stretch of HW93 between Challis and Arco and stop by the tallest mountain of Idaho (Borah mountain) but I never did. Hopefully in fall I might plan a trip.

Mackay Reservoir of course. From my kitchen window I can see the dam on the reservoir and Mt Borah.
