Every October a group of us from another fishing board head up to Pyramid Lake, NV. for what has been named Pyramidfest (Octoberfest w/fish). Last year the weather was absolutely miserable with rain and high winds. This year it was perfect! Here we are starting to claim Pelican Beach.
The Pyramid
The fishing was also as close to perfect as you can get as well. Every day was a 20 to 30 fish day as the Cutts were willing. Patterns that were hot were red dot frog, German Brown Trout and red & gold. Surface temp was about 62 degrees and fish were hitting in the 13' to 18' depth range. All you had to do is find the bait balls that would fill the screen of the fish finder.
Here is one of the better fish caught by one of the wives in the group.
Between the weather, friends, fishing and Saturday night pot luck, it just doesn't get any better than this.
