My son, his GF and I fished Porcuipine this morning, trying to catch some kokes for the smoker. Well, we caught fish but they looked more like sardines. We caught about a dozen and lost even more before we pulled the plug and left around noon. The lures we used were from Kokanee Creek tackle and we were catching the kokes around 20ft, trolling at 1.4 to 1.8 mph. Water temp was 61* and the water is still going over the spillway.
Here is a few pics, one of the sardine, one of spring coming into the lake and one of us fishing. Water was fairly clear but not as clear as I have seen it later in the year.

I don't believe I've ever seen koks that smalll bite before. Having not fished the pig for them before, I am not sure of th average size, but I think I've heard they were decent fish. Leave it to Curtis to find the youngsters. Way to go my friend. Long time no see. We need to do soe fishin before I forget what you look like.

Rob, Curtis is the small fish specialist. If there is a small fish in the lake curtis will catch it or he will catch the skinnananana

Hey Rob, yea, it was the smallest kokes I have ever caught. It depends on the year but the kokes there are generally smaller than at other koke lakes, in this area at least. I don't fish Causey as much as I use to but most of the kokes I have caught there are larger than the ones at the Pig. It has been a while since we have been out fishing, hopefully we can get together this summer and catch some fish.
