Sharpening hooks or switching lures

Hello,

Just wondering how often guys sharpen their hooks, OR do you just slap a new lure on every _____ number of fish? I seemed to have a little trouble last week and put a new lure on and suddenly my catch rate went up - not sure if it was just luck or if that was the key?

someday I'll catch enough kokanee in one day to have to worry about the hooks, I usually have to replace lures every other trip due to worn out leaders

when I was younger I would dull hooks while drifting for steelhead, a few quick passes on a hook file would provide the solution, and I kept a file in my pocket so it was considerably faster than re-tying

For Kokanee, I just use a new leader. For spoons and my salmon stuff, I like my little rapala electric hand held electric sharpener.
