After reading the reports of the great fishing this past weekend I thought I would try to get in on some of the action. After reading the forcast for Manila, I'm not sure if I should go.

TONIGHT: MOSTLY CLOUDY. A CHANCE OF RAIN SHOWERS...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WITH A CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS IN THE EVENING...THEN A SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS AFTER MIDNIGHT. SOME THUNDERSTORMS MAY PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING IN THE EVENING. LOWS IN THE 30S. NORTHWEST WINDS 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 30 MPH. CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION 50 PERCENT.
SATURDAY: PARTLY SUNNY. HIGHS IN THE 50S. NORTH WINDS 10 TO 15 MPH IN THE MORNING BECOMING LIGHT.
SATURDAY NIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY. LOWS IN THE 30S.

Should I stay or should I go.

Welcome to Flaming Gorge! (i'm sure you know this already :) )

If you are planning on spending a couple days up there, I would chance it. I think the weather could clear up nicely by tomorrow afternoon. My brother went up last night and I'm sure he found a cove to duck into and stay the night instead of riding it out on the docks. He has a fairly good size boat and has a couple of buddies with him for the derby.

The main thing is to be prepared for the nasty weather and know that you may have to get off quickly-it also depends on what type of boat you have. Having said that-If I could have gotten away I'd be up there right now.

boy that is tough. If nothing else, USUALLY on the gorge you can get a couple hours in the morning of low wind.
