I know that today is the last day of the year, and possibly ever to be able to dip smelt in our river's. I intend to head out right away for the Cowlitz and see if I can get a few to be able to have a little fry but hate to drive all that way for nothing. Have any of you heard how the dipping was last weekend? Do you know a number that I could call before I head out today and see if the gulls are in? I'd hate to drive all that way just to find out that the smelt aren't there now. Thanks for any input in advance.
