I'm a long time fly fisherman who has now been fishing of a kayak for a few years now and decided to step up my game by adding some sonar. I'm from the Boise area but fish the big lost and Mackay area a lot.

Hoping to learn and catch some landlocked salmon. Happy to find this forum.

hey bud glad to see i'm not the only new guy here in idaho. but odly enough i just started out trying my luck on a fishing kayak. i was out trolling lucky peak this last wednesday march 2nd saw at cabelas that the kokanee are 5-10' in depth. i hooked into one but he got off at the boat before i got the net. anyway hope to see you out there

I usually fish above town and below the dam. My family has some property in the area.

Slingshot: Glad to hear there is some action going on. Were you long lining it or do you have a downrigger on your yak?
