Ok I cant mill around much longer waiting for someone to post new updates on how cold it is. Im giving American another shot at a much anticipated skunk run in the morning. Ill let you know how it goes. Weatherman opened his trap and said something about 60 degree weather this weekend. As soon as someone says it, the weather changes its mind. Either way Im givin er' another go. This is the last "vaca" Ill have until August. School keeps me too damn busy. hitmyfish

Good luck Chris,

Taking out my first wounded veteran tomorrow at American Lake trying to catch a stupid kokanee. Hope to see you there. I'm in an Alumaweld Super Vee with canvas and a bowmount that is almost always in the water. Holler if you see us.

randy

Will do Randy. These Kokes are pretty elusive right now. I may try for (dare I say it here..) some trout for a bit in the a.m. Then move to the kokes later in the a.m. It has been a battle indeed for either. fencing Good luck sir!

Just had one jump by the boat. Lake is like glass. A couple boats out here. Super Dave is that you? Lol looms to be a good day fishing. Updates soon.

Quick update: the bastards are jumping all around me. North of island. 300yds out. C'mon fishy fishy

It's frustrating isn't it!!! When I see them doing that, I try to circle the pod or area their in. If all else fails, I just cuss at 'em.

Keep at it, you'll get one of those little koke's to bite. I might give it go after work Friday.

Good Luck out there!

I will be out there tomorrow afternoon with the kids. Maybe I will see you out there!

not sure on the temps. Im blind fishing today =/. Currently in little American trying to coax a rainbow. About to troll for kokes again. I may be out again tomorrow Dave. I shall persevere!!

so far nada. Lots of jumps. Even on little American (cuts I assume).currently on Randy's tail I'll try to catch up and say hello.

I went out yesterday ( Wednesday) for my first Kokanee trip of 2012. We fished from 1200-1630 and tried everything in the boat. We ended up getting 1 14 inch koke on a flasher and pink hoochie setup about 15 ft down. After we gave up on Kokanee we ended the day with 4 8-12 inch trout. The wind started to come up and the rains started to fall so we called it a day.

Nice!! The One Kokanee we found this year was a fat 14" koke. I'll be out tomorrow in the afternoon

KokChris, Awww keep the faith; it will get better. The fish you saw jumping were probably the Stocker Bows they just recently released. As soon as the water temp hits the 50 to 55 degree range, watch out because the Koks will start tearing it up. I just got home from work and have made up my mind.... I'm dragging the boat into work with me and it's Kok Fishing when I get off at 4:30. The "Catching" probably won't be the greatest but the Fishing is ALWAYS good.

Im just teasin'. That lake is a great fishery. It just needs to warm up (echo echo echo..) lol I may give it another shot or two before I get back to school in full swing this Monday. Did I mention that I start school at 1:30pm and get out at 9? It makes for a long day but I may be hitting the lake before school some days and going to school boat in tow and stuff the fridge at school with kokes laugh hyst
