I have been approached about putting a Bear Lake BRATS gathering for the weekend of Mar 29 or Mar 30. Weather permitting of coarse. Some have indicated to make a weekend of fishing staying at the KOA or other arrangements. There will be a potluck on one of those days at the state park in Garden City. Chime in here if you have interest. signfishin

Roger, I'm certainly interested, but clearly pending as that's a bit earlier than I usually make it owing to the typically iffy weather and my procrastination getting the boat out of it's winter mothballs. Golly, my ice fishing stuff is still setting in the garage waiting for it to get cold again!

Sorry Chuck, the weather is always an issue with the Bear. This is tentative if weather holds. Some inquirers revealed that they would travel to do this. I'm hoping to get up there real soon when the marina becomes ice free. Fishing should be kicking in again soon after the cutts have fatten up on cisco. I have done well in Mar & Apr.

If it is Ice free, I am in

I will Get my Boat ready in a couple of weeks and the RV as well. A few days of Spring Fishing and a Brawt Out sound like fun.

I am going to be staying up at Bear Lake from the 28th of March to the 5th of April. Hoping to be fishing every day. Hope to see the Brats up there.

Roger, the 29th is looking better for me. Is that the day we are shooting for? That'd give Dan a day to scout out for us!thumbsup

That Saturday is the main day for the gathering. 101ok101 Hopefully Dan doesn't clam up on us. laugh hyst

Glad to see Mark is planning on being there.

I'll be looking for you Dan

I will be in on the 27th and fishing Fri AM the 28th. Red Lund with soft Top. thumbsup Will stay through Monday - Tuesday and then head out back to Idaho! If lite traffic at the Marina, I may stay there in the parking lot over on the South end in the gravel or possible back further with my boat trailer on the back of the MH. VHF Ch 19 Do you have one??? or hand helds??

gonefishing , I'll be in a Blue and White StarCraft with a Blue Soft Top, towed by a Blue 2006 Dodge Ram Quadcab. I do have a radio and I'll call for you when I'm out there

Looks like gonefishing is it for the scouting crew?

What time ya'll thinking of getting on the water? My rather limited experience is similar the Roger's in that I tyioically do the best a little later in the morning, especially if there are the canyon winds that then settle. There have been pretty good early morning winds from the canyons into Cache Valley s the last few days.

Heading out early

Likely I will be clearing the dock by 7:15 - 7:30. That will give me a hour or so to look around a little. I know where I am going to check for fish. I want to check the main spots and hopefully there will be fish. If not, I'll do some more looking . Ya know the drill I am sure!rolleyes There is alot of water to look for fish in.

Dan came by the house yesterday. He's chomping at the bit to get out to a watering hole somewhere and the next couple of weeks will take its toll on him since he is still of the "working class". He says he wants to go 4 more years before retirement. Oh such punishment!!!! 101surrender101

Looks like Dan will be on the water having fun when we are all back in at the barns. Not only that, he will be powered by all the fishing reports from the team. Maybe not a bad strategy.101idea101 I dont think he will be any less excited about putting some lines down.tooexcited without the rest of us on the water!! worthy12

I'll use all of the info I can get to fish that place. I'll post reports during the week. Hey on another note , my son was talking with Adam Eakle from KSL at the ISE show today. he told me that Adam was interested in maybe doing a story about Bear Lake Brats on the 29th. I'm going to find out more information about this ASAP , he said he was going to talk to the guys at Campchef about cooking the Brats up for us. Who knows this could get interesting.tooexcited
