state record?`

i talked to the old man yesterday and he said something quiet suprising. says the state record kok came out of spinney? i dident even know there were any in there. anyone else hear this?

yup, that was a while ago, snagging was out of Blue??? the snagging record is probably a fraud, that guy finally got caught at some other stuff but they let his records stand, lake trout, kokonee, RBT, yeah right.......the things some people will do for fame!!!!

According to the record books, the largest kokanee caught while angling was in 1986 at Spinney Mountain Reservoir. It weighed 6 lbs 13 oz and was 27.5 inches long.

The largest kokanee caught while snagging was in 2002 at Blue Mesa. It weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 27 inches long.

These are heavier than any kokanee in the record books for Wyoming or Utah.

I don't know if the CDOW is still stocking them in there, been allot a problems with pike eating all the small trout so I would guess they no longer are stocking it, but that is just speculation.

No, I don't believe kokanee ave been stocked in Spinney in some years.
