This works equally well for beef, chicken or pork.
1 Lbs sirlion steak sliced in thin strips
1 small bunch broccoli
2 carrots sliced on the diagonal
1/2 Lbs asparagus
2 yellow squash
sliced mushrooms
snow peas
sprouts
2 TBSP oil
4 cloves of minced garlic
1/2 tsp ginger paste
1 cup peanuts
Sauce:
3/4 cup soy sauce
2 TBSP stir fry sauce
1 heaping TBSP cornstarch
2 TBSP cooking oil
2 cups dry rice prepared.
Brown steak slices in oil, garlic and ginger paste, set aside
Start rice while you are dicing/slicing veggies
Stir fry veggies in oil starting with the densest vegetables first like the broccoli and carrots. After about a 3 - 4 minute head start, begin adding progressive order of vehetables. i.e. sprouts will likely be last to be added. At the point that the vegetables look like they are just beginning to soften up, add soy sauce mixture and quick heat until thickened. Serve over a bed of rice and top with nuts and/or crunchy chow mein noodles.
