Been planning another day up at Strawberry this past week but that quickly changed. When I left 0330 and within an hour I was at the Echo split of I84 & I80. West bound was back towards Park City and HI40 to Strawberry. It took that split within a 1/2mi to quickly change my route east towards Cheyenne, Wy. After hearing of numerous reports of the big kokes coming out of the Gorge, temptation turned into can't resist. Arrived at Lucerne 3hrs later and was on the water by 0700. Headed north to the Wyoming territories and started fishing the Middle Marsh area. Started out using MagTackle, a 5.5 pink outline stripe dodger and a pink mini-mag spinner blade hoochie. Bite started out a little slow at first just catching a couple of 2 1/2 pounders. Changed over to mini-mag spinner blade orange hoochie and the bite was on. Set up my second pole with a 5.5 Hyperplaid dodger with another mini-mag spinner blade orange hoochie. I stayed busy there for a good while until about 1100 when the bite tapered off to either an occasional drive by or boated straggler. By 1230 since my fun meter was pegged, decided to call it a day and pack it in. Put a nice 4lber and 2 descent 3lbers in the box. Total catch was 21 kokes and 3 pups. Planning on the elusive trip next week I hope to Strawberry.
