Went to Summit lake this morning hoping for a better day than yesterday at Riffe. The kokanee bite has started at Summit! The rainbow bite was hot too.
Fished from 7:00am to 11:00am. Put 5 rainbows to the boat, all of which I released. Got 5 Kokanee in the box and lost 4. Not a bad morning. All the Kokanee were deep, 50 to 65ft. The largest was a little over 13" most were 12". My X-15 spinners caught all the fish (I did not even try anything else) trolled behind Shasta Tackles 4" and 6" dodgers. See pic's. Water temp is 58 and very clear. All fish were taken on the west side of the lake in 60 to 85ft deep water.
