Hit Summit this morning, overcast and a little cold. I wanted to try for some kokes so I can help Larry Phillips out as he is looking for feedback on the koke population as he is the local state biologist.Got to the lake late(8a.m.) and imm. hit trout. as in American Lake the trout can be a pain to get through but once you are to the 40 ft. depth you should get into kokes. I caught two with 2 missed hits before it slowed, they were in good shape, prob. 10 or 11 inches.I'm sure if I was earlier I would have caught more kokes.Trout have the usual summer problem with cephlopods, a type of freshwater sea lice that leaves sores on body of fish.Fish were caught on slingblades with wedding rings and tipped with little pieces of worm.Speed was between 1.5 and 1.75.Stacked two rods picked up one on upper rod(40ft.) and one on lower rod(50 ft.).
