Fished summit lake in Thurston Cty. on Sunday, took me a few days to post this due to salmon fishing in the Chehalis River Monday and Tuesday. We trolled from about 8:00 'till 12:30P.M., fish turned off the bite after the tow-heads and jet skiers came out after 11:00 A.M. We caught 3 kokes and two trout, all came on dodgers and hoochies with corn. Spoons produced nothing, fish were between 8 and 10 inches, nothing of size except one beautiful cutthroat trout, lovely orange meat.Kokes were fish from plants this year, these fish should be a nice size by the next fishing season. We lost what I think was another nice cut at the boat, prob. 12 or 13 inches, similar to the one we landed.Certainly nothing like the 3 to 4 lb. trout from the spring that we posted about.
