i know this would prob. be better posted in tacklecraft, but I figure that I'll get a lot of different takes on this so it may help others out as well. am looking for a different hook to use on a #2 needlefish, I don't like the stock hook, shaft too short and wire a little thick for that size lure.Tears up mouths of fish leading to premature release.I would think treble but I am concerned that this will affect action on such a light lure. Also the split ring is pretty thick so I need a little larger eye then on some of my thin wire hooks, don't really care for the small gami siwash, too much like originals.Any advice on lighter trebles or lighter siwashes is appreciated. bob r

Ditto on the sickle hooks. If you want the hook back farther add a small barrel swivel to the split ring and then close the open hook eye to the other end of the swivel. This will also give the fish less leverage by allowing the hook to rotate.

Thanks for tips, will try the sickles and also will imm. try the swivel on existing Gamis and get back to you. I would have preferred to use a treble, but weight would affect existing action. Bob R

I don't believe so on the treble concern you have. Needlefish used to come with a treble and I believe at one point they offered both hooks in the package.
