Since the lake I regularly fish (it's still too early) has a five (5) fish limit, I like to dedicate a day when the fishing is generally good to challenge myself.

Catch 5 fish using 5 different lure set-ups.

You can define for yourself what "different lure set-ups" means.

One might try for example.

1. Dodger + Hoochie
2. Dodger + Apex
3. Dodger + Spoon
4. Dodger + Beaded Spinner
5. Dodger + Bug

Or you might try 5 different colored Hoochie + dodger combos.

I've done this and it makes for a fun day.

Enjoy,

jz

5 Fish

OK......Ill be up at the "LAKE" next Thur afternoon for the weekend.
Sooooo that will give me 3 full days to get the 5 fish limit!
Right?.......laugh hyst

I'll be out in my Boat "Shes So Fine" if anyone wants to say hello! thumbsup......Kokonuts

Sounds good jzell! I'll try that out this year! Another thought I've had is to leave the top producer's at home once in a while...kinda force myself into trying new things. I get in the habit of relying on certain lures, and feel I have to drag them around because I know they will put fish in the boat from past experiance. I guess the only way to be fair is to use different one's during a hot bite, instead of throwing them on when things get slow after the favorites quite working.

I had a 5 species day at Gorge a couple years ago. It will be one of my special fish memories when I'm old and telling fish stories to the grand kids.

Kokanee, Rainbow, Mackinaw, Smallmouth, Carp. And the 20 lbs carp on a Koke rod was probably one of the funnest fish I've caught. thumbsup

Home Made dodgers, lures , attractors?
A lot of us have been making up or changing things, its what I call "STUFF". It would be really great to catch the 5 fish on Homemade STUFF!!.....thumbsup....Kokonuts
