The day my wife became a Kokanee Fisherman

It was July 31, 2010. We were fishing at Union Valley Reservoir in California. I had been "compromising" on getting on the water super early because I know she isn't an early morning person. On the 30th, we didn't get started until about 7 am because of engine trouble. On the 31st, we were on the lake at 6:15am, and she noticed that the bite was over for us by about 8:15am. She said "I think kokanee fishing has to be done early to catch the most fish. Why don't we get up an hour earlier? I won't complain." I couldn't believe I was hearing this. Her stock went way up with me. The photo below is from another trip.

Good to hear that your wife is now hooked on kokanee.
My wife would rather fish for koks than any other fish, but she still likes to sleep in late.

Be careful though... it can work the other way too... a few trips where you get out really early and the bite doesn't start for you until 8:00AM and you are doomed!.. ask me I know. This is pretty rare though it seems.
