My wife and I went to the upper end of Luky Peak last night about 8 pm and had the whole lake to our selfs. We had a great time. There was no wind at all and the temp. was perfect. We use Tazmanian Devils, I took them apart and put on single hooks. I had shoe peg corn that had been soaked and we used two down riggers and two just trailing behind the boat. We caught six kokanee about 16 to 18 inches. We caught all of the fish from the two rods that were just trailing from the boat, which really suprised me. I have some company coming in town tonight and they called and asked about doing a steak fry and I told them we were going to have fresh salmon instead. This is great to be able to enjoy these fish twice!101chromefish101

It's nice to hear another refer to them as "silvers". Where I'm from they were called that as slang for "silver trout". Now that I am in a true multi-salmon region if I call 'em silvers people straighten me out real quick.

Not sure of other areas but in eastern Washington /northern Idaho a lot of people call them Bluebacks. It's interesting how different areas have different names for the same thing. And yes they are very pretty fish, especially if located in my cooler. 101chromefish101
