They come in several colors similar to a wooly bugger pattern and have a small treble trailer hook. A red k-fly and ford fender rig was a consistent perormer.

I use the traditional style steelhead tied flies just tied a little smaller. If you look on my FB alblum at these flies it'll give you a idea of what works. I've got fish on: Coho Candy, Doc Holiday, Dr. Spratley, Drains 20, Klickitat, Mary Lou, Ruth Ann and Soldotna.
