Utah Kokanee Lakes

3 lakes here in Utah has been planted with kokanee this year. This news I first heard thru the vine coming from Facebook about a week ago. I quit FB 5yrs ago. This am I decided to look the DWR fish stock reports and found there are 3 lakes, Enterprise Res, Lost Creek Res, & Rockport Lake were just planted recently. I had heard about 8yrs ago Lost Creek was on their list but wasn't sure when or if a change had occurred since this has been such a long period. Glad to see more lakes being populated. Also what I'm hearing these lakes will be planted for a couple of years until kokanee can start spawn maintaining own population.

Some times these experiments take and some times they don't. Hopefully, these won't just be fish food for the existing population of the lake.

I am hoping that the kokes will grab a hold in the new lakes and do well like they are in Jordanelle and Dear Creek. it might help ease the pressure on the Gogre and the Berry.
