Vance's 7' koke rod

Got my two new rods today - can't wait to try them out! I was impressed with the quality(cork, guides, spigot ferrule) for the price and the fast service. My Convector CV15 reels look good on them. They put my old rods to shame. Of course he real test is to come over time and use.

When does the koke fishing usually start up at the Gorge?

Hi Smokepoles, I have one of Vance's 7ft. Kokanee Rods. I've only used one season , but I have to say I am wanting another one. I like the action and I have a Diawa Accudepth 17 on mine, great combination.

I've been useing the exact same rod/reel combo for the last 3 or 4 years... great set-up!! thumbsup

I have 2 of Vance's P-LT702 spiral wrap rods with Tica Caimens 100's mounted on them. I love this combo. I've been using Vances rods for about 2yrs now and plan on keeping them catching fish for a while longer. I'm also using 2 of Jared Johnsons signature red rods with Okuma Convector 15D mounted on those. Another excellent combo. This set I have had for 3yrs now. They will be with me for a while too. thumbsup

I have done some koke fishing about mid April in the past at the Gorge. The fish are there but so is the weather. Its still on the cool side but I have been successful. signfishin
