Jerry Logosz who used to own the market in Joseph, but now lives in Arizona, has been fishing Wallowa Lake this summer and on July 19 boated a new state record kokanee. The fish was 27.25 inches long, had a girth of 15.25 and was weighed in on a state-inspected scale at 7 pounds o.875 ounces. The fish was caught at about 11 am at a depth of 30 feet with a Sling Blade and Apex with Shoepeg corn. There is a picture in the Wallowa County Chieftain. It may be accessible on line but not sure.
