Who fishes Alder Lake?

Went fishing at Alder Lake last Tuesday. Caught a few Koks. Nothing special. Noticed algae on my line when I would reel up to change my set up. maybe the fish were full on algae?

Just looking for any tip or tricks to the lake.

I usually fished for kokanee in the Little Nisqually Arm of the the lake. We usually did pretty good in there. Fish are never real big ,but plentiful .

I fish Alder occasionally but haven't put the time in to really learn the lake. I have done OK with Chartruse MiniHoochies and Weeding Band Set-ups behind a Sepps Charturse Dodger. I really nailed them late last season just up from the boat ramp. I've never caught Koks of any real size at that lake but it sure is a lot of fun.

I fish alder quite often i pulled my limit out of there abouth a month ago in an hour and a half or 2. It always takes my a little while to dial em in. Cought most by flat lining but the first three came off the rigger at about 20ft deep and on a silver pop gear and a wedding band. They were a little small the biggest one would be around 12in. gonna head out there again here before long.
