Fished Wickiup today from 8:15 until 10:30. Tried a lot of different rigs. Not one bite. Other guys at the boat ramp reported the same thing-no bites. That's two weeks in a row I've been skunked. Water temp was 57-58.

we were there also and managed to land 4. We lost another 5 or so at the boat but we were there from 630-330. Long day for 4 fish

2 hours is an awfully short amount of time to fish. I often can go two hours without a bite before figuring out what is working. There is also solar/lunar considerations. If they are "off" the bite then you'll miss the bite unless your timing is impeccable.

Oh, I agree completely. But, I just wasn't in the mood to drive around the lake all day waiting for a bite since I didn't catch anything the Saturday before. I'm not used to not catching fish at Wickiup! If I can catch one fish every 90 minutes or so, I can stay motivated. I also always have my wife with me and I don't want her to get too burned out on fishing. She has fun when we're catching fish but loses interest pretty fast when we aren't.
