Hi!

Well the lousy Wx has finally broken and I was able to get out on West Hill the last 2 nights.

1st night caught 3 Kokes and 2 large Brown Trout.
2nd night (in 4 hours) I limited out with 8 Kokes -> Also 7 trout which I threw back.

Cooked up the 3 Kokes last night -> Hmmmm - Hmmmm GOOD !

Now I just have to catch enough over the weekend to smoke!

OMG ! thumbsup Kokanee Candy in my special Rum brine !!!!!

101goodpost101Way to get into em SeaDog!! I'm still waitng for them to plow through the snow to get the public launch open where I fish...can hardly wait!!

Awesome Seadog, I'm jealous I still haven't made my first trip to Nantahala this year. We've been trout fishing but I am planning a koke trip in three weeks or so. The trout fishing has gone well but I'm missing the kokes.Have you guys heard anything about your states plans for koke management?

Hi TT,

Kokes at WH are running 11 to 13 inches.
Small, yet fat and meaty -> Delicious ! tongue2 -> especially smoked !!!!
I've caught my limit of 8 per day, jigging five days in a row now, all between sunset and midnight.
Fun, Fun, Fun !!!!

As for the Garmin echo 300 ! -> I'm in Looooove !!!!
What a great unit.
Powerful and sensitive.
I can see EVERYTHING swimming under the boat !!
Also has awesome bottom definition.

Best regards,
SeaDog
