[Me and the girly friend headed up to Lava to bring in the new year, but not withouht a days fishing at chesterfield. Arrived up at chesty at 8am or so to sub zero temps and quite a few people. We trudged it across to the other side to get away from people but it didn't work everyone with machines had the same idea. Fishing was slow all day with a lot of hit and runs, we ending up icing 7 fish with one nice 20"+ 4 or so# chesterfield bow. Pink seemed to be the color but we caught fish on different stuff. We headed out at about230.
O, and i got talked into another duck hunt on wednesday with a couple of buddies. We did well hunting some warm springs. Ducks are desperate right now with lack of open water and food sources.
