Hi,

Last 3 or so nights out, jigging for the Kokes, my friends and I noticed the following:

Thermocline a 30 ft. -> Schools of Kokes traveling below 30 ft. but not feeding -> Then we would see schools at the 26 to 29 ft. level and they where feeding and we would get hard bites.

What we think is happening is the Kokes are moving below 30 ft. in the colder 50 degree-ish water then porpoising up to feed on the plankton for a brief time then returning to the colder water below 30 ft. that they prefer.
Sort of makes sense per our observations.
We are though preplexed that the Kokes are coming up so high in the water column this time of year. -> Go figure ??????
