Diamond Lake

My wife and myself just returned from that Black Bird tournament at Diamond lake, what a pretty lake enjoyed the Lake the fish weren't jumping in the boat trolled on Friday and tried to figure out what the fish wanted/ only managed 7 fish they were fat plump averaging 12/14 inches I had talked with another fisherman they landed 38 on the day prior they trolled the same day and only managed 5. We then did what everyone else did power bait on the bottom with isn't my favorite way to fish but we did limit the boat the day of the tournament of the 16 fish two were 18 inch but nothing close to put us in the money. Its the second time I every fished the lake and it won't be are last. The go to smell was Salmon Egg Gulp power bait flor carb line 4# test 4 ft leader had 6 # Max ultra grn 6# for main line. O'h yea the Mos were just coming out Sunday when we pulled out. there were probable over 1500 people at the tournament extremely friendly and very helpful more then willing to share there knowledge about the lake and the correct medicine to use we just lucked out we found the fish a lot didn't.
