    Merwin 2013 post it here

We came in at noon with 28, didn't see any other guide boats out there... Which boat was it? Wednesday had a great bite early but the bite died a bit when the air went stagnant. Going for 50 tomorrow.....

How To Fish For Upper Columbia Sockeye

We target them between Cathlamet and Vancouver on the Columbia. Yes they bite, yes they can be caught in low and high water, and yes they are very good. They usually blow through in about 2 weeks, the last 2 years the state has opened the season before they got by us and I wouldn't expect...

    A glimmer of Hope??

I swear that your shadow will push fish one way or the other. If you fish perpendicular to the sun the side of the boat that's towards the sun seems to produce better. Now by no way is this a science, some days those buggers chase the baits and the other hooked fish right to the boat. But on...

    A glimmer of Hope??

Change the direction of troll according to the sun. Fish far behind the boat. Believe me you can still kill kokes on the top on a windless, cloudless day.

Shasta sling blades, hootchies and wiggle hootchies. Color didn't seem to matter, what mattered was speed and direction of troll. They wanted it ssssslllllllooooooowwwwwww that day...

Yes there were 6 of us. No riggers, don't need them. Fish were anywhere between 13-16 inches. If I need to post a pic of the tape I can. Yes it was some "creative" camera work but that was the point. Next time I'll try to get the colors on the fish a little better. :)

I believe it... Plenty of fish biting up there. Limits 3 out of the 5 times, 2 days just a few short. Plenty of pics but I don't think I can show them as they have my boat in them.

Merwin The fishing has been great this year! All fish caught on Sling blades and wiggle hoochies from Shasta. 2 short of a 6 man limit but we needed to head out, I bet if we stayed another 10 min we would have got those last 2. Gave a couple fish to a nice older man in the parking lot when...
