    lead line choices

now your really screwing with my brain..I thought dodger "drag" tended to raise the terminal end a might. Your theory,, flat wide surface, more drag in the water, less sink. Am I off base again??.. Only been at this for 30 years or so... guess we never stop learning

    lead line choices

thanks, so the world isn't flat.. And the best lead line is??.. You think the the 18 was running 7/ft per color ,and the 27 at 6/ft per color. Also missed on that score. always guessed about 5 to 5 1/2 per color. Thats why I use line counters with lead.. more precise

    lead line choices

let me try.. 18 and 27 ,-----same core weight...27, thicker sheath for more strength,,--- thicker sheath holding higher...,--thinner(18lb,) was running deeper with both out to 160... If that's true, and I do see the theory, even if its against my logic, than that line was running under the fish...

  17. R

    Tandem Rigs

Whatever spinner is hot usually takes a beating after three or four fish and when I feel any fray on the line, I rebuild them right on the boat. So I keep a good supply of tandem tied hooks on hand. I don't tie my own, but buy them in bulk and notice that many of the suppliers offer their rigs...

Kokanee info for the Beginner and beyond

At 1.5 mph with those line counter readings, your only down about15-20 ft. Figure about 5.5 ft down per color out,(10yds) And your only30 yds behind the boat

    Rod for lead line

use it, you will quickly get a feel for what you might change. long leader off the lead to your snubber more leader, dodger and your rig.. I only use a snubber with lead and it seems to help dampen the non stretch, unyielding lead. good luck, let us know
