$20 a pop per reel doesnt take long to add up to the cost of buying new reels. between kokanee/stealhead/salmon i fish with around 8 or 9 baitcasters a season. id much rather spend my money building my reel collection than paying for someone to clean/maintain them for me when i know i can do it...

any shimano guys know if you can swap out parts from the cardiff line of reels? thinking about picking up a couple used 301's, but i'd like to be able to convert them into clicker reels. wondering if the 401 parts can be used in a 301? i'm an abu guy and love the fact that i can swap parts...

buddy filmed this guy on friday, the day after my hunt closed. he was in the same area, and only 100yds off the main trail. ha ha. go figure. really narrow but tall as hell. i would not hesitate for a second to shoot that guy. great character.

smacked this guy a couple days ago. i missed a couple bigger bucks, but with the season coming to an end on thanksgiving and having been sick for three days prior, i figured he'd do. i saw a ton of bucks, and passed on a lot as well. had a great time. nothing like hunting during the rut.

here are a couple critters my buddies were able to take this weekend. the buck was smoked on saturday and the bull was wacked this morning. hopefully, i'll be posting a dandy buck photo after my late hunt.
