    Lakers.....

my mistake, payette's daily limit is one, none over 30". that seems reasonable, if you're trying to protect it and manage it as a trophy fishery. i haven't heard much on lakers as table fair, but i agree with grizz. i want to catch them for the simple fact that its something new and i like...

    Reel maintenance

$20 a pop per reel doesnt take long to add up to the cost of buying new reels. between kokanee/stealhead/salmon i fish with around 8 or 9 baitcasters a season. id much rather spend my money building my reel collection than paying for someone to clean/maintain them for me when i know i can do it...

    Shimano Cardiff

any shimano guys know if you can swap out parts from the cardiff line of reels? thinking about picking up a couple used 301's, but i'd like to be able to convert them into clicker reels. wondering if the 401 parts can be used in a 301? i'm an abu guy and love the fact that i can swap parts...

    2011 Buck

buddy filmed this guy on friday, the day after my hunt closed. he was in the same area, and only 100yds off the main trail. ha ha. go figure. really narrow but tall as hell. i would not hesitate for a second to shoot that guy. great character.

    2011 Buck

smacked this guy a couple days ago. i missed a couple bigger bucks, but with the season coming to an end on thanksgiving and having been sick for three days prior, i figured he'd do. i saw a ton of bucks, and passed on a lot as well. had a great time. nothing like hunting during the rut.

    Whidbey Island bound......

the picture with the fog was a creepy day. we almost didnt go out. turns out, we probably shouldnt have. that was leaving the launch. shortly after, i hooked a king, and our attention to the fish got us turned around. our gps died and we were technically "lost" for about three hours . but, we...

    Whidbey Island bound......

well, we've got one more day of fishing and then we'll be heading home. it's been absolutely insane all week. we've been on the water every day since saturday and pulled limits with ease. that ranges from 8 to 16 fish, depending how many of us were on the boat. we have been very spoiled. most...
