Got 17 on Friday and 23 on Saturday fishing about 5 hours each day. Threw a couple dark ones back but most are still bright.

Agreed, I use the DV to keep an eye on trees, etc. so I don't lose a downrigger ball or anything in them. I run split screen mot often when trolling.

Put a Garmin at the back of my boat and love it. Even anchored for salmon it gives you something to look at. lol

hooked It is a Tr1. It did cost a pretty penny no doubt but with the layout of my old boat the kicker is hanging way out there off the back of the boat and would have been very uncomfortable and unsafe. I probably could have found a cheaper route but at the time I had the money and if nothing...

I went with a used Yamaha 8Hp 4 stroke off craigslist and could not be happier. I added a Tr1 system to it and it is the best.thing I could have done. I did not go wireless control as my boat is only 18' and. I don't guide or anything.

I think the picnic idea is a great one. For any season, spring, summer, winter or call.

Headed to Yale Saturday morning but to much wind for the wife, so headed to Merwin. Merwin was flat as a table when we got there. Motored out of the ramp and dropped the riggers down. Trolled for an hour and only one bump! Whats up? Dropped the riggers down another 10 feet and 15 minutes...
