    Snubbers yes or no

I used my new Vance spiral wound kokanee rods today and removed all of my snubbers. I can tell you I wont be using them in the future. I love these rods...

    Hoochies, Short or Long

I will do that for sure. I've been googling a lot about the subject and I will stop by a local fly shop so I can get a better idea of the materials available. I cant wait to give it a try.

    Hoochies, Short or Long

Oh no! I love making my own lures. Now I've got to try this! Don't worry, I won't let my wife know who got me started...

    Hoochies, Short or Long

I must say that I have never heard of a tube fly but that may be becauae I'm in California (sounds like another reason to move out of the state lol). You peaked my interest so I went to my local Sportsmans Warehouse today but I was unable to find any. Do you troll them at the surface of at...

    Who uses braid?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I always use lighter leader material past my water wolf. I think I will juat putting a heavier mono on my spool and use that rod for my cam . Thanks for the input, Jim

    Hoochies, Short or Long

I like the shorter ones myself. I tie my own and love the action of adding the wiggle bill. I've had very good luck with them so far.

    Who uses braid?

That was my plan its just that I need to keep the troll and lure fairly close to the cam or I won't catch any of the action. I put 10 lb braid and it is so strong I couldn't break it. it is also very small and I don't think it will be seen. I will give it a try tomorrow and see how it goes. If...

    Who uses braid?

Sounds like good advice Bduck. The problem with fishing Shaver Lake Ca. is the old dam and saw mill are still at the bottom of the lake. If your not very careful you can get yourself in trouble really quick. I did spool the braid on my reel as I plan to go fishing tomorrow. I will give the braid...

    Who uses braid?

I have a Water Wolf camera which is designed to be connected to the line which keeps the lure in line with the camera lens. I don't think I would be able to catch much action without keeping the camera on the line with troll and lure. I did put the braided line on my reel today so I should see...

    Who uses braid?

I want to try Braid to save costly gear While I'm new to the forum I am a long time Kokanee fisherman who has used 10 lb mono on my spool and 8 lb on my leaders for many years. Unfortunately, last week while trolling the bottom came up suddenly and I hung my new fishing cam up on a bunch of...
