You cant imagine how hard I was racking my brain trying to figure out why a clip would move down on you! lol Glad I'm not going crazy. You got some great tips on keeping your stackers where you want them. This forum is great for getting answers and tweaking your setups. So, keep the...
Yeah its very secure. 15 minutes with the key is all you get in order to pick up or drop off your boat or trailer. They keep a very close eye on things there, and I like that. Lucerne locks it up at night, but during the day it seems to be a free for all.
Buckboard is 3078756927. We store a 30 or so foot 5th wheel there for like 35 bucks a month. I think they charge per foot. Its a locked and secure area... as opposed to Lucerne where people can come and go as they please. I like Buckboard... but both are okay and not too expensive.
Good luck
The 778 is the sonar I'm considering getting. So, since I'm so late to the party on this thread... how about some reviews? Did you guys get them? Like them? What dont you like about them? I looked at them at cabelas the other day and really like their chart speed when compared to my old...
I have tried a few different setups... off to the side, out the back, etc. I actually have come to really prefer my dual rod holder on my cannon downrigger. When a fish hits either line it clears the other most of the time (proper spread helps increase the odds of avoiding tangles). Once...
Its good to be back Ryan! The engagment is over, and we're married lol Life is pretty dang good right now. Cant wait to get out and do some koke fishing though!
Two years ago we hit some open pockets with the boat on my spring break, around the 20th of March. Got a few macs... but nothing worth shouting about. We're going to wait until around the second week of April to start our boat fishing this year. Seems like any earlier than that and I end up...
Now thats a nice koke! Congrats to the angler. From what I'm hearing there are some really nice kokes being caught this year already. Good to see the new record! Thats awesome. Cant wait to get up there myself! As always, fishonlynch, thanks for posting up! Do you have a leaderboard pic...
Thats hilarious, Rob. I never thought of that, Young Music = Young Kokes. lol But, being eclectic, Waylon, Willie, Hank, Merle, and even Chris LeDoux are all welcome on my boat. Got to cover all the bases!
Thats not head bang music, Tim. Thats some great taste in music. I saw Brand New in concert fall of 07 at Saltaire. Great stuff! The kokes were good too.
Ice fishing for kokes is great. I've had most of my success right under the ice, where the sonar doesnt always pick them up. Sitting in an ice tent with the light blocked out, you can see down sometimes close to 20 ft... that is the kokanee sonar of choice for me. Its hard on my back though...
That really surprises me to hear that about Gas Star, Ash. I used it a ton last year and never had a single problem (and my old boat is pretty tempermental). Thanks for the warning though. I'm staying up near Buckboard this year, so Green River is closer for me anyways.
Thats one of the best things about the Gorge is you can generally camp where and how you want to. Not to mention all of those that use the shores to fish because they dont have boats. Too many waters, especially here in Utah have become basically access by boat only. This is a shame. I can...
Usually around 30-35 feet is where I start to switch over. I try not to get caught up in hard and fast rules though. Let the bite let you know what to use.
The Gas Star in Manila was just as cheap, or cheaper, than Evanston or Mt View last year. I usually fill the boat up there because they seem to always be very competitive.
