2 July 2011 started 0500-0745, This was my first time fishing American in a couple of weeks. My son and I went out to be honest fishing was outstanding. We were running 2 rods off the riggers, and one free lined out the back. Rods had vances dodger with RMT super squid in pink or chartreuse/ a glow tube jig, Or a glow squid with glow beads tipped with pink Berkley’s maggot and DNA kokanee gel. All squids were outfitted with 4 to 5 small glow beads on them. All fish were caught 25-40 feet down, mostly at 32feet, trolling speed was 1.2. We picked up 8 and lost 5. My son got his limit that’s all that mattered. We left early because we intended on only keeping 5 fish but they kept biting, also we wanted to get off the water before the water skiers and jet skiers show up. They started showing up at 0700 by the time we left they were coming in full force. Time to go! Pictured is the glow jig/ glow squid which worked great early.
