It was the plan to be on the water around 7:30 this morning. Well, my dad shoes up to my house and we realize two different things, the downriggers are in Seattle and the tabs on the trailer expired in Jan. Luckily my dad didn't get a ticket on the way down.

We took off back to Seattle ro find a licensing place and get the downriggers. It is now 9:39 and we are in the way back to Tacoma. I am hoping to be on the water around 10:30 or so. I will continue to update this thread as I go.

Geez....don't you just hate those kind of days. Happens to us all every now and then. Good luck out there.....pictures.

You can buy your tabs online and print out the reciept for proof, do you need the down riggers?

hmmmmm NO tabs that sucks ! And if I was you I would of just flat line for the koks and add lead as needed the fish are on the top of the water down to maybe 30ft at tops . I allways have a few keel weights in the box just in case : ) good luck !

Finally making onto the water around 10:30 we set off to the north end of the island. We started trolling and saw Kokanee Kid and crew. As soon as they drove by our rod goes off and I try and help my little girl land her fish. Kokanee kid posted a picture of this on his report.

The kids were troopers and I was very impressed with them, they are already askingwhen they can go again. We ended the day boating 20 fish, 13 kokanee and 7 trout released.

The most productive water for us was in 80' of water. 15' and 20' down on the downriggers trolling 1.2 - 1.6 mph. The two top producers for us were:

Bahama Mama doger, k-04 bugeye spinner, gulp maggots, kokanee feast scent.

Fusion dodger, double glow pink squid, corn and maggots, DNA scent

Here is a picture of the kids and the fish, we had to change the picture to black and white because the rest of the picture was blown out. you can't see the fish too well, but it shows how much fun the kids were having. The last pic is the fish layed out.
