I went fishing with friends Glen and Cami of F24 for kokanee. Glen hooked one we never seen but it was pulling really hard on his little craponee rod. I think he should post the video. Slammin8er gave us some of his gear and bait because he was catching. This didn’t even help us. Zero kokanee caught but there were stocker trout to catch. We fished from 6-11am. It was mostly cloudy with a breeze. It felt cold. Cami was really cold. Water temp was 53.
A side note...Kokanee Kid was texting me cute little things to title the report like “American Lake smells like skunk” or because it was Cinco de Mayo “Skunk olé.”

I went fishing with my grandson William. No kokanee but we got our limit of stocker trout of which 2 were brought home. I lost a dodger at 11 foot in 40 foot of water on the south side of the lake. So watch out. We were there from 8:30 – 11:30am with mostly sunny morning but chilly on the lake. There was a small breeze. William saw my new to me lamiglas kokanee rod bent in the clip of the downrigger clip and got excited. He really liked that rod but his Cars one is still his favorite. The lake was a little busy with Boy Scout day to go fishing. There were a few boats picking up the boys at intervals. Kokanee Kid took our picture while William was bringing in a trout.

I went fishing with old girl (my motor) which I may call old smokey now. Once again zero kokanee but lots of trout. I fished 6:30 to 10am and it was a chilly morning but the sun came out and about 9:30am I took off my coat because the sun was out! The water skiers came out with it. I had just finished unhooking a double of trout and looked up to see a fast moving boat headed right toward me. Sure glad I had old girl instead of the electric to get away.
