American Lake 10/9/11

Got up before the crack of dawn to get on the lake at first light. Unfortunately JBLM Security had other plans....they didn't open the gates until damn near 8:30! Got out as quick as I could, tried the new Gamakatsu pink pro spinner / dodger combo with shoepeg. Fished the buoy perimeter on the West side of the Island. Got three in fairly quick order then lost three more. Wind started picking up so I paddled back in around 12:30. Will try again tomorrow.
