Decided to go back to Nahwatzul on Sunday since the reports from American on Kokes are still a little slow and Merwin is just a little far with gas prices the way they are. And since we fish from a 15 f. flatback old town canoe with a 4 horse on the back it has to be a low wind day to go that far south!I hit this great trout(5lbs4 1/2 oz.) on the enclosed photo homemade wedding ring, got those great blade decals from Mack years ago when they discontinued them, said that reports on them weren't positive, we have had good luck on both Kokes and trout with them so were glad to have them shipped.Notice the bend in shaft of hook, this is a tru-turn hook, with all the talk of sykle hooks and gamis I figured you should try these . They are GREAT for Kokes being a fine wire they don't enlarge the hole in these soft mouthed salmon! And the "patented cam action" really does seem to work better for light biting fish .At Summit Lake in Thurston county years ago I couldn't hook them one day of exceptionally light bites until I switched and would hook them just outside the mouth! I find them at Cabela's and sportco, if you can get the red ones they are the bomb.Only fish that hit trolling, water temp. was 53 at surface, anothor 3 to 5 degrees should make them more active for trolling, this was the only hit we had so we anchored up and limited, it was a little slow but that might have to do with weather shifts that came in last night. This fish was hooked lightly in lip, using a 5' 6" fenwick eagle gt rod with 6 lb test,Doubled the rodin the holder, couldn't move him for a bit, jumped clear of water 7 times with 6 strong runs. Would have lost him with heavier setup as there was only an eighth of an inch piece of meat in the corner of the jaw holding him, spectacular fighting and tasting fish as we ate one fillet with homemade pinapple teriyake sauce last night.GREAT netting job as usual by my lovely wife Melanie.Bob R
