looking to troll for some rainbows/kokanee this fall in arrowrock reservoir, I've never fished it past June, what are some of the biggest kokanee/rainbows you've landed in arrowrock in the fall? and if you wouldn't mind sharing let me know what depth/gear you were using for the rainbows, I know that crank-baits and spoons/spinners tipped with worms/maggots will entice the rainbows but I'm curious what the veterans on KFF have to say as I've never caught rainbows past 14" or so in the reservoir, I'm sure there are some 3lb rainbows in there waiting to be landed

I live a couple of miles from that res. I don t fish it much but I want to warn you about a pretty big hazard that you probably wont see, If you use the ramp area instead of the beach (quite a ways down the lake) When you launch if you go to your left be careful there is a hump of land that is just under the water when the reservoir is dropping. I cant tell you exactly where but people have done some pretty good damage to lower units on that thing. I dont know the water level now because Im in North Dakota working so Im not a lot of help there. I just know when the ramps are high and dry watch out. Maybe someone who fishes it in the fall could help more. When the water is up no issue. Good luck Mike

I know exactly where you're talking about, I usually go to the confluence to troll but once I trolled the area near the ramp and I was a bit alarmed when my depth finder went from over 100' to 30-something' in a hurry and my gear started bumping the bottom and I barely got everything reeled up in time
