My wife and I fished Baker Lake on Monday. We arrived at the lake at 11:00 am. About 6 rigs in the parking lot. Only saw 1 fishing. We launched at the Dam launch ramp. Could only find 2 small schools of fish. 1 was 200 yards North of the ramp at about 35 to 50 feet down in 55 feet of water . The other was 300 yards to the SSW in about the same depth. I could not get a bite. We did not go up the lake as there were white caps everywhere. I forgot the water temp. After 3 hours on the lake, We left. There were big black storm clouds to the South moving North. Being from Michigan, I tend to move off the Lakes when they look threatening.

I haven't tried Baker yet but have heard that it has been pretty slow. The other lake at the bottom of the hill (Shannon, I think) is supposed to be better right now? I have not fished it before as I have heard there are a lot of underwater obsticles and Lake Samish is still putting out limits. Might be worth a try though.
