Here it is that time of year for some Bear L action. 101ok101 I realize we are up against the hunting season but its time to gather for some fishing. Looking for suggestions on what day this would work excluding the on coming weekend. I'm open for anything. My work schedule allows for any date. Oh, I'm retired so I can go anytime. 101idea101 Hopefully the weather won't play a factor. Let us here from you.

I will be there Thursday evening/Friday morning for few hours. Gotta fix a leaking roof on Thursday evening when I arrive. If that all comes togther and i get this done and its dry enough to do, I will go drag some tackle for a few hours before heading home on Friday Morning
.

I'm up for a trip. Weather is usually pretty nice through October and hopefully there will be some good fishing upcoming as last fall seemed to be a little slow. Right now weekend of Oct 12 and 13 is out for me, and possibly the 19-20. I can probably get off a Thursday if the fishing is really on.

I am in, but still testing out my New / Old Boat, but should be ready to go on a Saturday from September 21 till October 12th maybe the 19th depending on the weather. I prefer Saturdays but could work in a Friday with a couple weeks out planning!

I suggest planning for Oct 5 with Oct 12 as a backup in the event of weather. First weekend in Oct is opening season for waterfowl. Hope to see others get on board with this. I will do a scouting trip between now & then for that is too long for me to wait to go fishing next. I like going in the middle of the week. 101ok101

Fished the bear on Friday for only about 2 hours before I headed out. Picked up one small cutt, released him back. Marked a lot of fish in the stageing areas out deep. 90 feet area. Lots of fish right at the 80' area. Will be back up there again soon.

Thanks Mark. I commented to someone that I think I will give it a try now during the middle of this week. This weather pattern with heat & storms we have been in is finally clearing out for a few days. A more fall like pattern is settling in now. I mostly struggled at getting out to fish this year. Hopefully I can get a few days in before the snows start.

Hi Roger , hey just let me know what day you decide on . I just got back from 2 weeks in Massachusetts , handling my Mom's Estate. I'm needing a fishing fix . The weekend of October 5th is out for me I will be up on the mountain with my son elk hunting, but the following weekend will work for me.

It appears so far a split in the 2 weekend days. Lets make it for both days, its easy for me to commit to both. Just pick a day and I'll see you on the water, Oct 5 or Oct 12. Do we want to potluck like last year at the end of each day or just put together snacks for a BS session? 101idea101

I will try for the 5th. We have never fished that lake before so we may need some directions as far as boat ramps go. The potluck sounds good to me.

From SLC travel north I-15 to Brigham City. Take the Logan exit for HI89/91, go to Logan and bare left as you come into town on Main Street going thru downtown, take Bear Lake turnoff which is still HI89 to Bear L. At end of this portion of HI89 it T's off with HI89 going left. Turn left go approx 2mi to state park.

Last year when we did the Bear L outing we had a potluck. If your interested in doing this again I will bring some brats on both days. That was a good hit last year. This was simple to cook up. Feel free to add something.

I'm still planning on the 5th and willing to bring whatever needed. I enjoyed meeting the few of that made it last year, and looking forward to this year.

Heading up in a few hours to fish BL in the morning for the day. Looks to be a little snowy, but hey. Its fishing Jack!!! pull up your big girl panties and make it happen. Will post up some results tommorow evening.
