I was entered in the 2011 burbot bash this past week. We were able to fish four nights out of seven and only managed to catch 23 fish. There were over 4000 burbot checked by the wyoming and utah fish and game for the derby. I happened to catch the biggest at 33.8" and only weighing 6.93 lbs.. The pic iss from my cell phone so sorry about the quality.

I keep hearing they are good to eat. What with the latex gloves? Do they put out a slime that doesn't wash off? stomper

Yea they are the slimiest fish I have ever caught. The latex gloves were so I didn't have to wash my hands before I drove off in the motorhome. This time of year water is not readily available. We are planning another trip up over presidents day week-end. Come on out and join us.

kill them koke eaters. 34 incher, that bugger could eat a 4lb koke

trouble is they're as good eating as kokes

scrap with dull knife until the slime is gone, then filet

fresh water version of ling cod. big pile of teeth and ugly that only a mother could love.
