Hi, my name is Kat, I am a wife of a fisherman....OKKKK I like to fish to.

We are getting ready to go fishing on the bumping lake. We have fished there once with not much luck. We have been Columbia River Salmon Fishing, Drano Lake Salmon Fishing and just finished Salmon fishing in the Ocean near Illwaco, WA.

We would like to know some information on how to fish for this guys. Any help would be truly appreciated. Suggestions of tackle, we are typically trollers, but we don't mind trying something different if it puts fish in the boat.

Thanks in advance

Kat

Take a look at the Washington lakes site for Bumping lake. You might try a Dick Nite spoon #114 (5050 brass chrome) on three to four colors lead with 60' fluorocarbon 8# leader tied direct to the spoon. No bait (messes up the action) you might try some scent. Troll at 1.5 to 2 mph.
Hope that helps - Alan

Kat,
My family and I have fished Bumping lake for well forever. Although I troll of here on the wet side i always still fish the Bumpin'. Travel uplake to the far end of the lake, on the one of the last coves on the north side of the lake there is a snag that sticks out of the water. The sang is in about 60 feet of water and typically has about 6' sticking out of the water. tie up start chumming, the fish school like most kok's use maggots, shoepeg corn tipped on a red or fluorescent red/orange whitefish fly. jig and have fun. there is a bonus limit there so your allowed 16 koks. they do not get very big with most around 8-9 inches but they still are a blast
