I used the Chamberlains all last season. I used two downriggers and stacked them both. Dfly is correct, you do have to take the time to adjust them the first time then tweak them a bit with the size gear and fish. But... Once they are dialed in you won't get false releases and they will release when there is a smaller fish so you don't drag one all day wasting precious early morning trolling time. I like that they release and don't just bob when you get a fish on. They release every time and the rod takes out the slack and sets the hook keeping you from losing fish. I think I get more in the net than I did with regular pinch clips. I have been using mine since the beginning of this season again and they have been fine. The only down side is that they are easy to drop in the drink while stacking. I have lost one. Although, I have dropped a couple of other clips prior to that.
I noticed how much better they were when I dropped the one and had to go to a back up clip. The Chamberlains are far superior. When I went to 4 downriggers I ordered more without batting an eye.
